What is a Root Canal Treatment?

The Root Canal Procedure

• Pulp Removal: Dr. Rosado will clean and disinfect the inside of your tooth by removing any decay and the pulp. If there is any infection at the root of the tooth, it will be drained out after the pulp is removed.

• Filling the Canal: After it is cleaned, the empty canal is filled with a biocompatible material and sealed with adhesive cement.

• Restorative: A tooth that requires a root canal usually has significant decay or damage. To protect it, and stabilize the structure, the tooth will likely need a crown after the root canal.
